Thursday, Feb. 1

First Thursday Shop & Sip in Hillcrest // It’s the first Thursday of the month, and you know what that means — time to get your Hillcrest shop ‘n’ sip on. Soak up the Kavanaugh vibes while you take advantage of the specials, later hours and extra fun. It kicks off at 5 p.m. Learn more here.

The Art Department: Perrion Hurd at Thea Foundation // The popular series for Thea is back on the calendar. At this show opening, take in the award-winning work of local printmaker Perrion Hurd through his exhibit “Innocence Unveiled” inspired by childhood days. The art starts at 5:30 p.m. Learn more here

The Harlem Globetrotters at Simmons Bank Arena // Whether you’ve got kids to entertain or not, the Globetrotters still put on quite the show. The world-famous team is on its new world tour with non-stop fun and lots of opportunities to interact with the players. Bring the kids. Or don’t. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. Learn more here.

February Cocktail Class at Rock Town Distillery // Start your February on the right sip with the first of this month’s cocktail series. Grab your crew and head to SoMa to learn how to make a chocolate covered strawberry martini and the Hot For You featuring Rock Town Grapefruit Vodka. Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts // Next up in the AMFA concert series is this critically-acclaimed jazz ensemble that has been turning heads (and turning up the volume) for more than 25 years. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Learn more here.

 

Friday, Feb. 2

SoMa After Dark on South Main Street // Friday’s fun is south of 630. This monthly neighborhood bash features area businesses offering later hours and special activities. Highlights this month include giveaways at Pink Olive and a pop-up with Wild Aster Creative at South Main Creative. It kicks off at 5 p.m. Learn more here.

 

Saturday, Feb. 3

National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day at Loblolly Creamery // Fact: This holiday is a real thing and is celebrated on the first Saturday of February. Fact: This time you can eat your weight in Waffle House-themed flavors and Coffee on Wheels sips. Fact: We may pass out from excitement, or maybe sugar overload, whichever gets us first. Once Upon a Time at The Venue at Westwind // Making its grand return to the event scene is this “Cirque du Rocher” fundraiser for United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas. The magical evening includes food, libations, auctions and lots of circus performers. Event proceeds will go toward UCP’s mission to “provide independence to all Arkansans regardless of physical and mental abilities.” It starts at 6 p.m. Learn more here.

 

Sunday, Feb. 4

The Market at Pettaway in Pettaway Square // Let’s try this again, shall we? Last week, we mistakenly listed the wrong date, but this brand new market makes its (actual) debut this weekend with lots of local vendors and plans to return every Sunday. Come shop 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Learn more here.

North Little Rock Restaurant Week(s) // Hope you’re hungry. Fourteen full days of delicious eats are coming to a close, and it’s all been to support local restaurants. “Mean Girls” at the Robinson Center // Regina George requests the honor of your presence. The sass, the pink and all the wicked humor you know and love are taking the downtown stage for three days in this musical adaptation of the iconic 2004 movie. Learn more here.

 

Saturday & Sunday, Feb. 3 & 4

BrickUniverse Lego Fan Expo at the Statehouse Convention Center // Stacks on stacks on stacks of tiny plastic blocks await at this Lego lover’s dream. You’ll also find building stations, vendor booths and mind-blowing displays for all ages. Show hours are 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. both days. Learn more here.

Music on the Patio at River Bottom Winery // The fresh air tunes are back after taking the holiday season off. Located at BoBrook Farms, this winery’s patio is the perfect place to enjoy local sips with live music from Farmer Fin and Rodger King on Saturday and Don Walker and Pam Setser on Sunday.
