Designer House XXV Opening Day at Belle Maison: Praise the design gods, it’s finally happening. After the ASO Guild’s biennial event got postponed, the 40-acre estate at 21509 Denny Road is officially opening to show off the work of more than 30 of Arkansas’ top designers. Masks are required and social distancing measures will be enforced, including limiting the number of guests in the house at any given time. Loblolly Creamery at SoMa Outdoor Dining: If there’s one thing corona can’t stop, it’s ice cream in the summer. Lots of SoMa restaurants are sharing the neighborhood’s new socially-distanced outdoor seating area in the parking lot on the corner of South Main and 13th streets, and Loblolly is setting up shop, too. Delta Exhibition Opening with the Arkansas Arts Center: Since its beginning in 1958, the Delta Exhibition of Painting and Sculpture has grown to encompass works in every media, showcasing the works of Mississippi Delta region artists. This year’s virtual exhibition is hosted in collaboration with Historic Arkansas Museum, Thea Foundation, Acansa Gallery and the Argenta Branch Library.
