Sometimes a little trash talk is good for the soul, and no, we don’t mean the kind happening on your Facebook feed right now.
Chili Fights in The Heights, the Hat Club of Little Rock’s annual chili-cookoff-turned-block-party, is set for Saturday, Oct. 29, on Kavanaugh with proceeds going to the Arkansas Foodbank.
This year, however, they’re cranking the spice up a notch with a kickoff “weigh in” party the night before, and it’s not your average get-together. On Friday, Oct. 28, teams will weigh in on their competitors and why they plan to take home the gold — and by “weigh in” we mean trash talk each other into the dirt.
It’s all in good fun, of course, but there’s no doubt hilarity will ensue. Come watch the words fly and enjoy drinks from Rock Town Distillery and food from Taziki’s, Heights Taco & Tamale Co. and Potbelly, all while listening to the sounds of DJ JJ Wilson.
The trash talk goes down from 6-9 p.m. at Club Level. Tickets are $12 before the event and $20 at the door with proceeds benefitting the Foodbank. Must be 21 or older. Learn more about Chili Fights in The Heights and get your tickets here.
