The 2014 Little Rock Marathon Weekend is just around the corner and the race weekend would not happen without the time and talent of 3,500+ volunteers who are the backbone of the race.
If you’re not planning on put those cross-trainers to work, you still have many opportunities to volunteer race weekend. With so many volunteer opportunities available during race weekend, though, how do you decide which one to choose?
Here are just a few positions:
Registration
Registration volunteers help during the Little Rock Marathon Health & Fitness Expo. Volunteers will participate in one of the following areas:
- Packet Pick-up– Volunteers will distribute race packets to participants with proper ID and confirmation ticket.
- T-Shirt Distribution–Volunteers will distribute one t-shirt, one poster and one gear check bag to each participant.
Start Line
Volunteers assist with crowd control in the start corrals. We have increased our number of participants and are sold out, so this position is crucial for a safe race.
Gear Check
Volunteers assist athletes by checking in their gear check bags on race morning.
