The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Consortium hosted the annual Julep Cup Jaunt at the Fred W. Smith Conference Center at UAMS. Guests—clad in their best derby day hats and suits—sipped mint juleps, bid on silent auction items and watched the Kentucky Derby. Entertainment was provided by The Real Thing jazz trio, with catering by Capers. Elizabeth J. Pruet was the Thoroughbred Sponsor, and USA Drug and Arvest were Winner’s Circle sponsors. Proceeds from the event benefited the UAMS Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
