UROGYNECOLOGY

As one of the few board-certified, fellowship-trained urogynecologists in the state, Dr. Sallie Oliphant brings a unique skill set to the care of female pelvic floor disorders such as urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, vaginal prolapse, bowel incontinence, sexual dysfunction and pain, and menopausal concerns. Oliphant chose the field of urogynecology because she wanted to positively impact women’s quality of life. She enjoys educating her patients about their conditions so they can be well-informed and make the best care choices for their own unique goals.

Oliphant has been providing specialized care to the women of Arkansas since 2013. This fall, she and her partner Dr. Susan Barr are pleased to announce the launch of their own practice, Arkansas Urogynecology and Women’s Health. Their team of specialists are thrilled to continue to provide excellent care, educate women about pelvic health and wellness, and expand the range of services they provide.

Alongside her busy medical practice, Oliphant oversees National Institutes of Health-funded clinical research investigating the impact of pregnancy and childbirth on the pelvic floor muscles. She also chairs a national committee that develops and administers training exams for fellowship through the American Urogynecologic Society. When not working, she enjoys running, hiking, baking and reading. She and her husband Ryan have three amazing children and too many pets.
