Dr. Hayden Franks was born and raised in Magnolia, Arkansas. He is an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at UAMS and volunteers at its Southwest Area Health Education Center in Texarkana, Arkansas.
Dr. Franks has a passion for teaching and mentoring. He serves on Hendrix College’s board of trustees and helped develop its alumni/student pre-med shadowing program. In 2011, the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians granted Dr. Franks an honorary membership in appreciation for teaching their residents.
Dr. Franks is a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church and has served on many church committees. An avid outdoorsman, he is also a member of the Arkansas Game & Fish Foundation board.
Dr. Franks is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a member of the Skin Cancer Foundation, the Arkansas Medical Society, the Arkansas Dermatological Society and the Pulaski County Medical Society.
