Thirsty Thursday: Sunrise Mule & Dreamland Cocktail Recipes from Cache

It’s almost time to hit Fringe: IV Party on the Edge, the latest and most fabulous event from the CHI St. Vincent Foundation.

The party takes place this Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Dreamland Ballroom with music from San Francisco’s DJ Dojah, best known for DJing Mark Zuckerberg’s wedding. Guests are encouraged (but not required) to wear items with fringe, which aren’t as hard to find as you might think.

The evening’s food and drinks will come from Cache Restaurant, and are enough to base an event around on their own. To help get you even more excited for the big party, the geniuses at Cache have generously provided recipes for two of the drinks that will be served on Satuday. There’s the new twist on a classic, the Sunrise Mule, and one we hear is just a dream come true, the Dreamland Cocktail.

Sunrise Mule

The Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz. silver tequila
  • 1 oz. triple sec
  • 1 oz. ginger beer
  • 2 lime wedges 

The Process

Squeeze both lime wedges into a shaker, then pour the tequila and triple sec into the shaker as well. Shake and strain over ice and top with the ginger beer.

 

Dreamland Cocktail

The Ingredients

  • 2 oz. vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz. X-Rated Fusion Liqueur
  • 1 oz. cranberry juice
  • 1 oz. pineapple juice
  • 0.5 oz. simple syrup

The Process

Pour all ingredients into a shaker. Shake and strain over ice. It’s that simple.
