Through Sept. 22, The Studio Theatre will debut a brand new play with a magical streak. “Puffs” by Matt Cox opens The Studio Theatre’s 2019-2020 season, aproduction that opened in 2015 and closed off-Broadway at New World Stages in August of 2019.
“Puffs” is a parody/spoof of the story of the famous boy wizard, but instead focuses the lens on a group of Hufflepuffs. The Puffs attended Hogwarts at the same time as Harry Potter, but this play follows the story of a different young wizard named Wayne and a group of well-meaning, loyal rejects with a thing for badgers.
“Puffs” will be showing at The Studio Theatre for Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. through Sept. 22.
