The One and JLLR Team Up to Raise Funds for Women in Need

Pictured above is Aaron Reddin, the man behind The One, Inc., photographed in the Women’s House when work began in early 2014.

The Van is a homeless relief station on wheels, and—to Little Rock residents—is probably the best-known aspect of The One, Inc., an organization with multiple outreach efforts to the homeless community across the state of Arkansas.

This year, the Junior League of Little Rock is joining forces with The One for a new awareness fundraiser, the Light to Life project, benefitting The One’s Women’s House program. The Women’s House is dedicated to helping homeless women and children in the transition to a permanent shelter, and Light to Life is dedicated to helping the Women’s House.

Raising funds for Light to Life is as simple as making a donation, but if you really want to help spread the news, you can take part in its pledge to wear the same outfit for five days, Oct. 5-9. You’re not allowed to wash, iron or otherwise clean your clothes during the process, all for the sake of raising awareness. You’ll also receive a wearable pin to help get the conversation started with others.

You can learn all about The One and all of it’s programs on its website. For more information on Light to Life, the pledge program or to make a donation, click here.
