The newly minted River Market Entertainment District is about to get even better thanks to The Library Kitchen + Lounge opening on Jan. 8.
Project developer Rob Byford describes the new restaurant and bar concept coming to downtown Little Rock as a “high-energy concept” that includes a to-go bar on the street with quick service menu items. Inside the lounge are large flat-screen TVs that will broadcast plenty of Hogs games and other sporting events, as well as a stage for live music.
When it comes to food, The Library Kitchen + Lounge will serve up Southern classics with a little flair. The lunch and dinner menus include a variety of appetizers like pimento cheese stuffed hushpuppies, salads, soups, sandwiches and a wide variety of sides. And the weekend brunch menu includes fan favorites like shrimp and grits, grits and grillades and hoecakes and sausage.
“We were approached to create a concept, in an iconic building in downtown Little Rock to support the newly created RMED, and there is no doubt that we have done just that,” Byford said.
The space was created by Jonathan Parkey with J Parkey, Michael McCallum with LRK Architects and Newmark Moses Tucker Partners.
The Library is located at 313 President Clinton Ave. Hours are 11 a.m. – midnight Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. – 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
