The January Edit: 5 Things We’re Looking Forward to in 2022

We did it. We officially made it through another “unprecedented” holiday season, and now have our sights set on a whole new year ahead of us in our favorite city.

There’s lots to be excited about in the coming months, but here’s what’s at the top of our list.

New Shows
Live theater is back on the agenda, including at all our favorite local theaters, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t counting the days until the national tour of “Hamilton” takes the Robinson Center stage Feb. 8-20.

Old Friends, New Space
It feels like a lifetime ago since the Arkansas Arts Center, now the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, closed its doors to undergo massive renovations in 2019. The new museum is set to reopen in MacArthur Park this year, and we can’t wait to see the finished product.

New Eats
It’s no secret (to locals, anyway) that Little Rock is a foodie town. There are always new and exciting restaurants, menus and tastings in the works, and 2022 looks to be no exception. We’re particularly excited about Sterling Market coming to East Village and Three Fold’s second location in WLR.

New Milestones
Believe it or not, Little Rock Soirée will mark its 20th anniversary this year. We’ve got some fun things planned, but you’ll have to wait and see. No spoilers.

New Chances
Our favorite part of every year, and of our jobs, is sharing meaningful stories about and with our community. New nonprofits, new celebrations, new ways to help our neighbors — we’re looking forward to what comes next and doing it all with you. If you have a story to share, drop me a line.

Cheers to 2022!
