The Countdown’s On for the Downtown Food Truck Festival

Ladies, gentlemen and all hungry locals, we are less than a month away from the 2024 Downtown Food Truck Festival. We can already smell the barbecue, the walking tacos, the burgers and the funnel cakes, and we’re just ready to get our hands on it all.

On Sunday, Sept. 22, the newly rebranded event will christen its new location on Capitol Avenue between Woodlane and Chester streets. Paired with more than 90 food trucks will be dozens of vendor booths, artists, family activities and live entertainers to round out the fest.

“Capitol Avenue has been identified as a focus area of the Downtown Master Plan,” says Gabe Holmstrom, executive director of the Downtown Little Rock Partnership, which hosts the event. “Our hope is that bringing thousands of people together to the area will again spark new ideas and interest for one of our state’s most important streets.”

Organizers are expecting the 13th annual event to pull in tens of thousands of visitors over the course of the day, so fasten your seat belts — and maybe give them an extra notch or two just to be safe.

Festival entrance is free, and the event runs 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. For the full lineup of food trucks and more information, visit the festival website, and follow along on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
