The Best OB/GYNs in Little Rock: Central Clinic for Women

Central Clinic for Women, P.A. was founded in 1971 by Dr. Allen McKnight. Since then the practice has increased to six OB/GYN Board Certified physicians with cumulative experience of 132 years. The mission of the physicians, nurses and staff is to provide outstanding patient services and quality obstetrical and gynecological care.

Central Clinic provides full gynecological and obstetrical services to patients including office visits, all gynecological surgeries, and complete care of normal and high risk pregnancies. The office is located in Medical Tower I on the Baptist Health Medical Center campus which allows immediate access for patient care. Baptist Health is the facility in which all deliveries are performed and the majority of surgical cases are done. In fact in 2011 the physicians delivered over 1000 babies!

The doctors at Central Clinic for Women are committed to high quality women’s health care in Arkansas. They actively participate as members and leaders in many medical organizations including the Arkansas Medical Society, Little Rock Gynecological Society, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists-Arkansas Section. The physicians at Central Clinic have strong credentials and all attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Over the years the doctors have been recognized as outstanding physicians by local and national publications.

Central Clinic’s doctors have outstanding reputations among peers and patients. Dr. Allen McKnight is known for creating and patenting the Amnihook. The Amnihook, a tool used for induction of labor, is used by doctors across the world. Whether looking for new ways to improve the quality care they provide or working daily to ensure their patients are comfortable, informed and at ease, the doctors at Central Clinic have the wellbeing of their patients in mind every step of the day.

All six of the doctors at Central Clinic for Women are themselves parents and are active in their family lives. Having been on the receiving end of OBGYN services themselves, they are acutely aware of how important it is to provide quality patient care. The doctors spend their time out of the office with their families, volunteering in church and community activities.

Central Clinic for Women is accepting new patients and looks forward to the opportunity to help you with your obstetrical and gynecological needs.
