The Beatles are coming to Argenta!
“The British Invasion Fifty Years Later,” an archival photography exhibition of the Beatles, will be getting started Friday and running through Saturday, April 19, in North Little Rock’s Argenta Arts District.
The photo exhibit will be free, while special ticketed events will raise money for the Argenta Arts Foundation, a nonprofit with a mission to provide arts and cultural experiences for the people of Arkansas.
The exhibit, which includes some never-before-seen photos, focuses on the public and private lives of these musical and cultural icons and one of the world’s most beloved bands. Here is where you’ll be able to find the exhibit:

Photos will be on display at each location from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday (April 12) and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 14-19. Special events throughout the week include:
- April 12: At noon, the U.S.S. Razorback Submarine turns to the Yellow Submarine at the Inland Maritime Museum.
- April 12: At 2 p.m., take a stroll at a special walking tour of the exhibit, starting at the THEA Foundation.
- April 12: Take in a performance of “Ripped and Wrinkled,” starting at 8 p.m. at The Joint. Tickets are required.
- April 14: At 4 p.m., stop by the British Invasion Film Festival the The Joint.
- April 15: Starting at 5:30 p.m., catch the “Tales from the South,” a weekly live radio show with storytelling of ’60s adventures, tickets required.
- April 15-17: The British Invasion Film Festival will continue at 8 p.m. at The Joint on April 15 and 6 p.m. on April 16-17.
- April 16: Get in on British Invasion IMPROV, starting 8 p.m. at The Joint.
- April 18: From 8-11 p.m., The Libras will perform an all-Beatles tribute, featuring special guest lead singers from the Arkansas music scene at the Argenta Community Theater. Tickets are required.
- April 19: From 12-3 p.m., get a look at the best of British classic cars when the British Motor Club of Arkansas makes a stop in Argenta.
- April 19: From 3-6 p.m., stop by the Inland Maritime Museum for a British Invasion BBQ and Karaoke. Tickets are required.
- April 19: The exhibit will conclude with a grand finale party that will feature Argenta Arts Foundation Friend of the Arts Award and live music at the Argenta Community Theater. Tickets are required.
The photo exhibit is the second archival collection displayed in the Argenta District. Last spring, the “JFK 50 Years Later” exhibit was held in a variety of locations up and down Main Street.
