The Artist Behind the Transformations: Atwood Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics

Proudly central Arkansas born and raised, Dr. Danielle Atwood is a plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic plastic and reconstructive surgery. As an M.D./Ph.D. and fellowship-trained aesthetic plastic surgeon, she loves bringing together science and surgical artistry to make patients feel more confident in their bodies. She believes the best results are personal. They should look like you, just refreshed. Most of all, she wants patients to feel heard, cared for and empowered in their bodies.

What makes you stand out among Little Rock’s plastic surgeons?

I am one of only two female plastic surgeons in Little Rock and the only surgeon with integrated plastic surgery residency, aesthetic fellowship and Ph.D. training focused specifically on implant-associated infections. Training matters, especially for you.

How does being a female plastic surgeon impact how you practice medicine?

The best way to relate to someone and understand them is to have walked in their shoes. From growing up with societal pressures to now being a mom, I get it. We’re in this together.

What do you wish you could tell every woman who walks through your door?

You are beautiful. You don’t need to become someone else — you deserve to feel comfortable, confident, and at home in the body you have. If I can help you feel more like yourself, that’s a privilege.

What do you hope your practice becomes known for?

Beautiful and exceptional work, but more importantly, I want my patients to know they matter. You are never just a number. I genuinely care about each person and want to do the best I can.
