The 5 Things You Need To Know About Easterseals Art & Soul

Your calendar is probably already filling up with all sorts of holiday parties, festivals and get-togethers, but there’s one more event you should pencil in: Easterseals Art & Soul.

The annual event showcases one-of-a-kind paintings, jewelry and pottery, pairing them with delicious hors d’oeuvres and libations. Guests have the opportunity to own original art created by the children and adults of Easterseals and local artists, all while proceeds benefit Easterseals Arkansas, an organization providing services to help Arkansans with disabilities live more independently.

Before the big night, we caught up with event chair Elaine Green to find out the five things you need to know about Easterseals Art & Soul.

1. Local, Local, Local

You name it, everything about this event is local. The hors d’oeuvres are prepared by @ The Corner Modern Diner and the libations are by Rock Town Distillery, Lost Forty Brewing and Custom Beverage. All of the art is created by the children and adults of Easterseals and local artists including Dawn Bearden, Emily Cobb, Morgan Coven Herndon, Sandy Hubler and Robin Parker.

2. Art Galore

We have art to fit everyone’s taste and budget. Sip and see over 60 masterpieces from handmade jewelry to freshly-fired ceramics to original prints and vibrant acrylic paintings. There will also be several painting parties you can bid on.

3. A.R.T. Paintings

Get a close-up look at some of the most unique art at this event. A.R.T. paintings are created by Easterseals artists who have little or no use of their hands. Through Easterseals Artistic Realization Technologies program (A.R.T.), our artists work with trained volunteers who act as their hands and follow the artists’ directives. What transpires are the most remarkable paintings – stretched, framed and ready to hang on your wall!

4. Original Children & Young Adult Art

You have come to the right place to find unique gifts for the children in your life. You will see several pieces from our Little Rock Preschool, Children’s Rehabilitation Center and Center for Training & Wellness.

5. Come See For Yourself:

Experience this nearly sold-out event that will become the highlight of your holiday season. General admission tickets are still available for $50 and include hors d’oeuvres, libations, live music and silent and live auctions. This fun event will be emceed by THV11’s Laura Monteverdi and Craig O’Neill.
