For the launch of Soirée magazine in March 2002, we made it a priority to put people on the covers, not illustrations, landscapes, pies or buildings.
We wanted people who support nonprofit organizations. We wanted people who were interesting, sometimes a little feisty, and not always handsome or beautiful. And you know what? We always ended up loving the cover people, but there are a few that stick out in our minds as particularly unique. It was difficult, but we chose ten of the most memorable covers to share with you.
In addition, there are dozens of inside shots that are just as cover-worthy. We wish we could show you more, but here are three shots at the end of the above slideshow that simply take our breath away.
