You can tell a lot about a woman by the purse she carries, much less what she puts in it. That’s the whole idea behind the Esse Purse Museum and the Fashion Footprints series.
The Capital Hotel, Esse Purse Museum, Oxford American Magazine and designer Linda Rowe Thomas are all coming together to put on this amalgamation of style, and you will want to be there.
The next installment of the Fashion Footprints series is called “Purse-onal Stories.” This event will explore the “emotional and social tangents attached to purses,” and if you pretend like there aren’t any, you’re kidding yourself, ladies.
Guests are encouraged to bring handbags and wallets with family ties, and will be given the opportunity to tell the story behind it.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m. at the Esse Purse Museum at 1510 S. Main St. Click here to register and for more info, and watch the video below to hear says museum creator and owner Anita Davis speak to the power of a purse.
