Easter weekend is upon us, everybody. Whether that means church services, egg hunts, candy bingeing or any other activities, you all have one thing in common: the quest for good eats.
Lucky for us, central Arkansas is in no shortage of that. A slew of some of our favorite restaurants are serving up some incredible brunch menus this weekend. Here are a few of our can’t-miss spots.
One Eleven — 111 Markham St.
As the resident kings of the brunch dominion, it comes as no surprise that One Eleven’s three-course Easter offerings are quite the production. From 11 a.m.-3 p.m., guests can feast on everything from maple soy salmon to gumbo to stewed black apples. Check out the full menu here. To make your required reservations, call (501) 370-7068.
Bravo! Cucina Italiana — 17815 Chenal Parkway
If you’ve never had Italian brunch, change that. Now. How can you say no to a Sicilian omelette, especially when it comes with a delish cappuccino? Brunch is available from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., and you’ll want to make your reservations now. To do so, call (501) 821-2485.
The Root Café — 1500 S. Main St.
It’s well known that if you’re looking for a good meal, you follow the locavores. Nine times out of ten, you’ll wind up at The Root. Make sure you get there at 9 a.m. on the dot; that’s when people start lining up. Try the eggs banh mi and thank us later. For more information, call (501) 414-0423.
EJ’s Eats & Drinks — 523 Center St.
It wasn’t long ago that we were singing “hallelujah” on account of EJ’s first opening for brunch, and guess what: We’re still singing. Come in from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and indulge in the diner’s twists on favorites like quiche, biscuits and gravy and one heck of a mimosa. Call (501) 666-3700 for more information.
Ya Ya’s Euro Bistro — 17711 Chenal Parkway
Stop by Ya Ya’s from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday where they will host their regular brunch buffet with a few added extras. Get your hands on the waffle and omelet bars, fresh meats, a pasta station and plenty of sweets. Spots are going fast, so don’t dawdle. For more information and to make reservations, call (501) 821-1144.
South on Main — 1304 S. Main St.
Have mercy. Breakfast tacos? Shrimp and grits? A hot chicken biscuit with mac and cheese? It’s not even fair. Ugh. Full menu here. Be there 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more information (as if you need any), call (501) 244-9660.
