With the fifth annual Seersucker Social right around the corner, Capital Bar & Grill has given us the blueprints of the two drinks you’ll be sipping all evening as you enjoy the Southern fashion, live music from The Cons of Formant and plenty of fab eats.
Click here to read our June cover story on the event and the Old State House Museum.
The event is scheduled for 7-9:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, at the Old State House Museum, but these perfectly Southern libations should tide you over until then.
Cheers, y’all!
The Debutante
The Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 oz. Kai Lychee Vodka
- 3/4 oz. St. Germaine Elderflower
- 1/2 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 1/4 oz. grapefruit juice
- Dash of grapefruit bitters
- Garnish with basil leaf and flower corsage
The Story from CBG:
Over the years we have watched this drink blossom. In 2011, we introduced The Debutante, and now she has full matured into our best-selling cocktail.
The Seersucker
The Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Four Roses Bourbon
- 1/2 oz. Aperol
- 1/2 oz. Rothman and Winter Orchard Apricot
- Rinse a highball glass with Lillet
- Garnish with orange zest
The Story from CBG:
This is a riff on the Sazerac. When the drink was only 24 hours old and unnamed, one of our resident cocktail historians declared it to be worthy of spring & summer, thus Seersucker.
Tickets are $45 and are available here. Must be 21 or older. Sorry, kids.
