Taste of Tuesday: Ouachita Rickey Cocktail Recipe

Our number one goal this time of year? It’s all about finding the quickest route from overheated to chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool.

Arkansas’ own Treatsie Artisan Sweets (aka the monthly subscription box of your sweet tooth dreams) is on the same wavelength. They looked to Mountain Valley Spring Water for answers, using its line of flavored sparkling spring water perfect for cooling you off and adding another dimension to your summertime cocktail in one beautiful step.

Ladies and gents, this is truly ingenuity at its finest.

Ouachita Rickey

The Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. tequila
  • juice of half a medium lime
  • Mountain Valley Blackberry Pomegranate Sparkling Water
  • blackberries for ice cubes and garnish

The Instructions:

Into a tall glass, add the tequila and squeeze in the juice of half a medium-sized lime. (You can leave the actual fruit itself in the drink if desired.) Add the ice cubes and top with sparkling water. Stir briefly to combine and garnish with two blackberries.

Pro tip: Freeze blackberries in the ice cubes for extra flavor.
