Taste of Tuesday: Mardi Gras Recipes That Double For Game Day

If there’s one thing we do well, it’s multitasking. In fact, those skills tend to quadruple when it comes to stuffing our faces with incredible food. So when Mardi Gras celebrations are on at the same time as the game, we knew a simple tray of pigs in a blanket just wasn’t going to cut it.

To remedy this, we gathered snackable recipes for foods you can fill your football-shaped plate with laissez les bon temps. Game on.

 

Cajun Potato Salad with Shrimp

The Ingredients:

  • 5 lbs. new potatoes, washed and cut into equal bite size pieces
  • 1/4 cup crab boil seasoning
  • 1 -1/2 cups mayo
  • 1/2 pounds bacon, cooked hard and crumbled
  • 2 tbsp. creole mustard
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped fine
  • 6 boiled, sliced eggs
  • 2 tsp. Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. granulated garlic
  • 1/4 cup sweet relish
