Tales from the South Expands, Moves Back Home to Argenta

Get your radio ready, Tales from the South is expanding soon to include live events across the region.

Bourbon & Boots, the online retailer based in North Little Rock, purchased the public radio show, according to this article from our sister publication Arkansas Business, and they are mixing things up.

They plan to expand to include live events in the “most historical cities and venues across all of the Southern states to completely capture, celebrate, and share the diversity of the Southern living experience.”

But that’s not the only change coming to the program.

Tales from the South is a showcase for Southern writers to share their own true stories in an unrehearsed, live setting. Long-time listeners will remember the show’s days in the ill-fated Starving Artist Café in Argenta. Show founder and host Paula Martin Morell is now joining Bourbon & Boots as executive producer, and the show will now produce from the store’s base in none other than Argenta.
