Symphony of Flavors Series Pairs Local Chefs With the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra

Beloved local chefs and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra are the pairing we didn’t know we needed.

This April, fans of both can get a double helping with Symphony of Flavors, a virtual, month-long program designed to raise funds for the ASO and give viewers a peek into the kitchens of some of the city’s favorite chefs.

Every week participants will receive a kit of goodies, wine and recipes at home before logging on to watch chefs walk through how to prepare a featured gourmet meal step-by-step, paired with interludes from various ASO musicians.

Here’s what’s on the menu:

April 8

Chef: Capi Peck, Trio’s Restaurant – legumbres en pipian, a hearty Mexican stew

Music: “Variations on a Mexican Theme”

April 15

Chef: Ricardo Rincón, Kemuri Restaurant – miso cod

Music: “Asian Suite”

April 22

Chef: Eric Isaac, Ristorante Capeo – chicken piccata

Music: “Ode to Italy”

April 29

Chef: Clark Trim & Henrik Thostrup, Colonial Wines and Spirits – roast rack of lamb provence

Music: “Springtime Sonata”

The series is hosted by the ASO Guild, a group dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the symphony through events and music education.

Tickets go on sale March 1 and are available as individual classes or a series pass. Virtual attendees will receive a link to watch live and will have access to videos of demonstrations for two weeks.
