If you know anything about Kelli Marks, you know she is the kind of girl who will always land on her feet.
Within hours of announcing her bakeshop, Sweet Love, is set to close in January, in part due to the rising cost of supplies, Marks has already been approached with “other opportunities.”
But that doesn’t yet answer the question of where we’re going to get our snickerdoodle fix or that perfect ombre cake for our next shindig.
Remaining coy on the subject of what’s next, Marks did tell Soirée the shop will officially close four years to the day it opened — on Jan. 13.
Until then, it’s business as usual and orders will continue to be accepted through the closing date.
“I don’t see closing as a failure. It’s more of we just we tried something and we’ve had some fun, some irritations, and we’ve fed a lot of people and spread some sweet love in Little Rock. You can’t be too upset.”

We are eager to see where Marks’ confectionery talents end up. Until then, we’ll take all the snickerdoodles, thanks.
