Help the working homeless in Little Rock while shopping and eating local at the Green Corner Corner Store & Soda Fountain this month.
Each month, customers at the store may choose to round up their total purchase to the nearest dollar and donate to a local nonprofit. And this month, the store, 1423 S. Main St., Ste. D, Little Rock, will be rounding up its change for the Our House.
Our House provides the working homeless– individuals and families– with shelter, housing, job training, education, childcare and summer youth programs in order to equip them with the skills to be successful in the workforce, the community and their own families.
And as an added bonus, Loblolly Creamery, the store’s soda fountain, will be serving up Our House coffee and cake limited edition ice cream flavor — a smooth coffee ice cream with chunks of house-made gluten-free chocolate cake— all-month long. Half of the sales from that flavor will benefit the nonprofit.
