Sunrise Café Closes, Guillermo’s Coffee House Moves In

We’ve got a good news/bad news situation on our hands, folks.

The bad news is that Sunrise Café, the Argentinean-style coffee shop located in the Pleasant Ridge Town Center, closed its doors. The café didn’t make it quite a year after opening on Valentine’s Day 2015. Sunrise offered a fresh take on the Little Rock coffee scene, and we’ll just have to wait patiently for that role to be filled again.

But.

The good news is that we have an all-new Guillermo’s Coffee House. This coffee shop is already a local favorite, tucked into the Village at Pleasant Valley shopping center on Rodney Parham. Expanding into a second location in the former Sunrise Café spot, the new Guillermo’s offers your favorite drinks in an all new atmosphere.

The space retains much of the same look as Sunrise, but now with a lounge area and TV in the back of the store that can even be reserved. Don’t be fooled by the Sunrise sign out front; Guillermo’s is up and running, and should have their new signage in March.

Guillermo’s Coffee House is open 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and can be found between Belk and The Toggery. For more info and updates on the new shop, follow them on Facebook.

UPDATE: We should be getting our GUILLERMO’S sign up around mid March. Until then you can find us at the Pleasant Ridge Town Center next to Belk’s formerly the Sunrise Cafe.
