‘Stomp’ Marches to the Robinson Center Next Week

The international percussion sensation “Stomp” takes the stage at the Robinson Center for a limited three-show engagement March 10-12.

From its beginnings as a street performance in the U.K., “Stomp” has grown into an international sensation over the past 20 years, and has performed in more than 50 countries and in front of more than 24 million people. The production’s band of body percussionists make music out of everyday objects, which just might leave you thinking of your household items in a different light.

Created by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas, “Stomp” continues its run with four global productions in New York, London and North American and European tours. The show has nabbed many awards including an Emmy for its acclaimed HBO special “Stomp Out Loud.” The production has also made noteworthy TV appearances at The 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony, the Academy Awards and “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”
