Roses and daisies and ferns, oh yes! If the warm weather has you itching to get outside and enjoy your home’s outdoor space, now’s your chance to stock up and do a little good while you’re at it.
Access Group’s annual spring plant sale kicks off Monday, April 1, offering up dozens of varieties of spring annuals, perennials, shrubs and more. Straight out of the Access Gardens, these plants were grown by students and young adults at the Access Academy and Young Adult Campus.
In years prior, the sale has been known to offer up plants such as begonias, elephant ears, hydrangeas, daylilies, gardenias, caladium, hibiscus, lavender, roses, verbena and succulents. No word yet on what all varieties await this year, but there will be lots to choose from.
Proceeds further the Access mission to provide education, therapy, vocational training and other services to individuals with special needs, with funds from the plant sale directly benefiting the school’s horticulture program.
Check out all they have to offer through May 31. Shopping hours are 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday – Saturday at the Access Academy and Young Adult Campus at 1500 N. Mississippi St.
