Sterling Market Food Hall Coming to East Village

There’s good news on the foodie scene. Sterling Market, a new food hall-style restaurant from the team at Fidel & Co. Coffee, is moving into the former Cathead’s Diner space in East Village.

Set at 515 Shall Ave. in the old Sterling Paint Factory, the market will operate around four main food stations: salads/sandwiches, pizza, a butcher shop and a bakery. Guests will also be able to grab to-go eats or take a seat at the full bar.

John Burt and Paige Russell-Burt, both currently at Fidel & Co., will cross the street to take on the head chef and pastry chef roles at Sterling Market. The restaurant will also host “kitchen takeovers” where chefs will be invited to share their own menus with hungry guests.

“We are determined to create a fun culinary experience that is driven by all things local, high quality and sustainable,” says Fidel Samour, owner of Fidel & Co. “Between chefs, food and locally made goods, Sterling Market will be a one stop shop to gather, celebrate, relax and unwind.”

Sterling Market aims to open in spring 2022. For neighborhood updates, follow the East Village community on Facebook and Instagram.
