It’s a fact of life: April showers are undoubtedly coming our way. Time to take advantage of them.
The Southern Center for Agroecology is hosting their Spring Planting Festival this Saturday, April 4, at the Little Rock Urban Farming headquarters at 5910 G St.
Not only will you get to peruse all the fresh, delicious foliage, but you’ll get to learn all about the best practices to keep your garden functioning at full capacity without the harsh side effects of modern technology. And that, friends, is the heart of agroecology.
The festival starts at 8 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m. Here’s a rundown of the day.
8 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Native and Heirloom Plant Sale
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Kids Planting Table
11 a.m.: Seed Saving Workshop with Herb Culver
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Food trucks (YES)
12 p.m.: Planting for Pollinators Workshop with Tom Frothingham
