This summer, we told you that the local favorite Southern Gourmasian food truck had plans to open a storefront in downtown Little Rock. It looks like we have even more to look forward to this holiday season, because the restaurant is looking to open around the start of the new year.
The brick-and-mortar shop will be at 219 W. Capitol Ave. in the Sterling Annex.
Justin Patterson, owner of the popular Little Rock food truck, says the restaurant will be about 3,000-SF and seat about 85 patrons. He’s planning on having local beers on tap, in addition to others served by the bottle and boutique wine.
The restaurant’s menu will be an expansion upon the food truck’s current operations.
Everyone is excited about the move out of the 140 sq. ft. truck and into a brick-and-mortar shop at 219 W. Capitol Ave. in the Sterling Annex.
“Downtown Little Rock is going to be a place you can eat, you can drink, you can go to shows, a place to hang out,” said owner Justin Patterson.
Patterson says an official open date has not been nailed down yet, but customers should look for the restaurant to begin serving some time next year. The hours have also not been decided upon, but Patterson says it will serve food from breakfast through dinner.
[UPDATE]
The Southern Gourmasian needs our help! They recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for the dining interior. You can donate now to help get the restaurant on up and running quicker and nab some pretty sweet rewards in the process, including cooking classes, specially prepared dinners and plenty of swag.
The campaign runs through Dec. 25, so just remember that this is the gift that keeps on giving.
