South Main District Launches ‘Fourth Friday in SoMa’ Festivities Jan. 22

Over the years, various neighborhoods around Little Rock have come together to claim one night a month to open their arms and welcome in the city. For Hillcrest, it’s First Thursday Shop & Sip; in The Heights, it’s Third Thursdays; for downtown, it’s Second Friday Art Night; across the bridge, it’s Third Friday Argenta Art Walk.

Surprisingly, however, one of the most unique areas in the city, South Main, didn’t have one on the calendar, but that’s not the case anymore.

On Friday, Jan. 22, the neighborhood will kick off the first ever Fourth Friday in SoMa. Customers are encouraged to stop in at any of their favorite SoMa spots like South on Main, Community Bakery, Raduno Brick Oven & Barroom and Midtown Billiards. To sweeten the deal, The Root Café, Loblolly Creamery and The Green Corner Store will all extend their regular store hours for the evening.

This monthly event is brand new, but hopes to add more activities and fun in the following months.

The inaugural Fourth Friday in SoMa lasts from 5-9 p.m. To stay up-to-date on all things South Main, follow SoMa – Little Rock’s Southside Main Street Project on Facebook.
