Unfortunately, the foodie news in Little Rock isn’t always good news. Soul Fish Cafe has announced it’s closing in early August.
The Memphis-based restaurant at 306 Main St. opened in August 2016, and its lineup of fried catfish, shrimp and Southern dishes have been a downtown favorite, particularly among the weekday lunch crowd and patio-lovers.
According to social media posts on Facebook and Instagram, the owners decided not to renew the lease.
“Since all good things come to an end, so is our lease. … We thank everyone who has supported us over the past six years. We truly appreciate you. To the other restaurants out there, we have an awesome crew who will be looking for work. So give me a call, and I will send them your way.”
Soul Fish Cafe’s last day will be Sunday, Aug. 7. Until then, you can get your fill 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday-Tuesday and 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday.
There’s no word yet on a new tenant, but stay tuned for updates.
