SoMa’s Movies in the Parking Lot Series Returns with ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’

Paging Dr. Jones.

Movies in the Parking Lot is back with a screening of “Raiders of the Lost Ark” set for Sunday, Nov. 10 in the parking lot of The Root in SoMa.

The outdoor movie series is free and open to the public, and audience members are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets as 1981 Harrison Ford is projected on the wall.

Come with an appetite and you can enjoy eats from local food trucks and top it off with a stop at the Lost Forty beer tent.

The Arkansas Cinema Society and Downtown Little Rock Partnership teamed up to launch the series in 2017, which has since drawn nostalgia-loving crowds of all ages with classics like “The Goonies” and “Ghostbusters.”

Showtime for “Raiders” is at sundown, or about 6 p.m., but we suggest showing up when the doors open at 5 p.m. to get a good seat.
