SoMa Outdoor Dining Room Throws Fourth of July ‘Goodbye’ Bash

After more than a year of serving SoMa businesses and reastaurants, the SoMa Outdoor Dining Room is closing.

Located in the parking lot at the corner of Main and 13th streets, the outdoor dining area opened in June 2020 as businesses tried to balance reopening with safe service, even offering live entertainment and trivia to guests on weekends. Many of the restaurants that used the dining area recorded their best sales since the pandemic had started.

As restaurants return to full capacity and more guests become comfortable with indoor dining, it’s time to send off the tent-filled lot in style.

Say goodbye next Saturday and celebrate the Fourth of July with live music by Rodney Block, as well as food and drinks from The RootMockingbird Bar and TacosRaduno Brick Oven & BarroomEstersSouth on MainRock Town DistilleryCommunity Bakery and Loblolly Creamery.

The event starts at 6 p.m. on July 3, at 1301 S. Main Street. Click here for more information.
