Soirée’s 2011 Women To Watch: Lori Snyder

Lori Snyder,
Fashion Stylist/Wardrobe Consultant/volunteer, Lori Snyder

I like helping women develop their style. Whether dressing for a gala or a ball, it still comes down to them being comfortable in what they are wearing. I don’t try to compete with all the wonderful boutiques around town; I try and bring clients what they can’t get in Little Rock. I have established relationships with stores outside of the Little Rock area that I work with on an approval basis. I am also a volunteer and have been involved with several local organizations, including 20th Century Club, CARTI, Arkansas Symphony Guild, St. Vincent’s Tennis Tournament, Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure, Oscar Night America, Women and Children First, and more. Everywhere you turn, there’s an opportunity to help.

ON POWER
People often underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

I felt most powerful when I have ten balls in the air at once and don’t drop even one.

A true sign of power is when people trust my opinion.

ON MOTIVATION
I think it is my creative outlet.

Career goal? To be Rachel Zoe’s stylist … Ok, maybe just to shadow her some day.

ON SUCCESS
I am starting to see it in my children — I’ve been teaching my children good values and the importance of kindness and hard work.

POWER SUITED
A tailored dress (any color) with heels and a nice bag and blazer or coat. I think it just says, “I am pulled together.”
