Soirée’s 2011 Women To Watch: Diana Smithson

Diana Smithson, IBERIABANK, Senior Vice President, Private Banking

I am very proud of IBERIABANK’s 124-year history and enjoy sharing our bank’s story with clients and prospects. We are dedicated to making our 125th year of business focused on growing the Arkansas market and positively impacting the communities that we serve. As a private banking relationship manager, I find solutions for the financial needs of various professional practices and the executives who manage them. It is incredibly rewarding assisting clients in the ever-changing world of banking!

ON POWER
People often underestimate the power of positive attitude. Starting the day with your own personal positive attitude creates an environment to encourage others to be their best too. Positive attitude is easily achieved when you have balance in your life. If you need a daily jump start, fifteen minutes of quiet time chased with a vanilla latte works well!

I feel most powerful when I am helping others. I help my clients in their banking needs. I help my company by providing leadership. I help our community by serving on nonprofit boards. I take a “hands-on” ownership approach when it comes to helping others. I want everyone to say, “job well done.”

A true sign of power is the confidence to always be yourself.

ON MOTIVATION
Banking=people. I love talking, helping and working with people.

Career goal?
Continue to keep my focus on the client, thus building stronger relationships which will lead to mutual success.

ON SUCCESS
You will know you are successful when your personal portfolio is full of faith, family, and friends!
