Soirée’s 2011 Women To Watch: Debbie Teague

Debbie Teague, Real Estate Sales Agent, The Janet Jones Company

The Janet Jones Company is a real estate company covering central Arkansas.  Locally-owned and founded by Janet Jones in 1980, we provide a high level of service, professionalism and integrity in the real estate industry. Our company works as a team, which makes a difference for our clients. We have a very specific business philosophy: We want to be the source for real estate in Little Rock and want to provide such outstanding service that we become your “Realtor® for life!”

ON POWER
People often underestimate the power of relationships and role models. This can be your family, friends and co-workers. The people you surround yourself with have a major impact on your life. I have been so honored to have role models in my professional life, family life and social life.

I felt most powerful when I was able to meet my clients’ needs. Whether it was finding them the right home or getting their home sold.

A true sign of power is when the grace of God allows you to handle the day-to-day challenges that come your way in life. In real estate no two days are the same.

ON MOTIVATION
Why I love this: I love this job because it allows me to have an impact on people’s lives. It is sharing in a joyful time or helping them get through a hard time.

Career goal?
My career goal is to provide the best customer service and exceed all expectations for my clients.

ON SUCCESS
I once thought you had to win awards and achieve high rankings in your industry to be successful. While that is still a great career booster, I have found it extremely gratifying to share the joy and happiness of selling and buying a home for clients. To me, success is having previous clients refer new business to me. I feel so lucky and privileged that they are putting their trust in me.

POWERFUL DAY
My best day would start with my wonderful husband, Michael, and kids, Tucker and Abby. One of my favorite moments of the day is when the kids and I pray on the way to school for anyone or anything, from a classmate to a client that needs to sell a home. My favorite days are getting to work early and organizing the day ahead. I make client calls, oversee marketing and make a must-do list for the day. Several closings are always a big part of a best day. Selling a house where a client expresses excitement and joy is a powerful day.
