Soirée’s 2010 Women To Watch: Maria Furcron

Maria Furcron
TITLE: VP, Professional & Executive Client Group
COMPANY : Bank of the Ozarks

I love being there for my clients. While I enjoy working with many types of professionals, my primary client categories are medical, accounting, architecture, and law firms. Being a part of the Professional & Executive Client Group means taking care of the banking needs of the business and those who manage it. I’m grateful Bank of the Ozarks allows me to offer a degree of personal customer care uncommon in the marketplace.

Favorite Quote: “There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.” – Beverly Sills

Why I Love This
I love the people! I love learning about each client’s business practices and goals. It’s rewarding to work with them to achieve those goals.

Career Goal
Continue building strong client relationships and assisting with their success. It’s satisfying to work for an organization that embraces, encourages and provides opportunities for employees to achieve their goals.

Best business advice you ever received and who gave it: “Do what is right, be honest and treat everyone with respect.”  – My dad, George Kaloghirou. Who consistently inspires you? I am consistently inspired by my clients. They inspire me to meet their needs and provide them with the services they need. What business men and women do you admire most? My dad came to America from Cyprus and worked for a small business. He eventually bought that business, successfully grew it and sold it. I feel like he has lived the “American dream,” and I am blessed to have watched him do so. He is a man of patience, honesty and integrity.
