Nationally Ranked Orthopedic Care: Arkansas Children’s Pediatric Orthopedic Walk-in Clinic
Q: What are the benefits of having an orthopedic walk-in clinic focused on pediatric patients?
A: Pediatric patients have different injuries, different healing rates and require different treatment strategies than adults. The pediatric orthopedic walk-in clinic in Champions Pavilion is staffed by sports medicine doctors and emergency medicine physicians specially trained in pediatrics.
Q: What are the most common injuries treated at the pediatric orthopedic walk-in clinic?
A: We regularly treat fractures of the elbow, wrist and ankle; muscle strains; ankle and wrist sprains; tendonitis; and routine bumps and bruises. Our specialists offer same-day visits and are equipped to manage short- and long-term pediatric orthopedic care.
Q: In addition to receiving immediate care, what services are available at the walk-in clinic?
A: We provide quick referral access and advanced imaging (MRI/CT). It surprises people to learn that the X-rays of children’s bones look very different than adults. We read those images every day and know exactly what to look for.
