Soirée Kids: Health for the Whole Child

Jenny Kelly, M.D.
Arkansas Integrative Pediatrics

Q: What is pediatric integrative medicine?

A: All factors that influence a child’s health, wellness and symptoms are taken into consideration, including mind, spirit, community and the body. Nutrition and specialty diets, botanicals, vitamin and mineral supplementation, mindfulness, mind-body and breathing techniques and physical activity are some of the approaches Arkansas Integrative Pediatrics utilizes.

Q: Who should visit AIP?

A: Any child is welcome and would benefit from a visit to AIP. Some of the most common things kids come to AIP for help with include acne, ADHD, anxiety, autism, chronic constipation or diarrhea, depression, eczema, functional abdominal pain, headaches, painful periods, support for athletic performance and stress management.

Q: We love our pediatrician and don’t want to leave them, but are curious about AIP.

A: We encourage you to continue your relationship with your child’s pediatrician and will provide an additional copy of our consultation notes for you to share with them if you desire. Our aim is to be an additional resource and to foster collaboration to help your child achieve their fullest potential.
