Saturday (Oct. 6)

2012 Cure Search Walk to celebrate and honor those in Arkansas who have been affected by children’s cancer in Little Rock, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Murray Park. For info: (501) 376-4567.

Eighth Annual St. Mark’s Shrimp Boil to benefit St. Francis House, 5-9 p.m. Enjoy live music from the Greasy Greens while feasting on boiled shrimp, potatoes and all the fixin’s. Tickets: $25 in advance, $30 at the door. There’s also a drive-through. Info: (501) 225-4203.

Seventh Annual Amethyst Ball to benefit the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 6:30- 10 p.m., Peabody Little Roc. Enjoy dinner plus a silent and live auction. Former Razorback D.J. Williams and his family will be honored with the Domestic Peace Award. Tickets: $100. For info: (800) 269-4668. Sixth Annual Mane Event to benefit Beyond Boundaries, 7-11 p.m., River Market Pavilions. Guests will enjoy food, drink, a live auction and live music by The Luke Williams Band. All proceeds benefit Beyond Boundaries, a non-profit center that utilizes horses as a therapy tool to increase specific motor, sensory, speech, and behavior/social responses. Tickets: $75 per couple. Sunday (Oct. 7)

29th Annual Camp Aldersgate Fish Fry, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Camp Aldersgate. Enjoy fried fish and all the fixin’s plus great family entertainment, an old fashioned bake sale, and more. All proceeds benefit Camp Aldersgate, Arkansas’ only non-profit uniquely dedicated to serving children with disabilities, youth and senior adults in a camp environment. Tickets: $15.
