Snoopy and the Gang Head to The Rep for ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’

Call up Snoopy and Woodstock. The Peanuts gang is headed to downtown Little Rock with the Arkansas Repertory Theatre‘s holiday production of “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”

Directed by Anna Kimmell, who served a four-year stint as director of education for The Rep, this stage adaptation of the classic TV special features a “jazz-infused” score and, as always, holiday festivities in the theater lobby.

For matinee shows, The Rep is teaming up with the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub to create Santa’s workshop with hands-on crafts and a pop-up market with items from local artisans. At night, live music and more shopping awaits in the lobby, and guests wearing ugly sweaters get discounts at the bar.

The Rep’s holiday shows are annual traditions for many, and this production is especially buzzworthy after the theater shuttered its doors multiple times in recent years. To see the full 2021-2022 season, click here.

“A Charlie Brown Christmas” individual tickets and season passes are available now. The Rep’s popular Pay What You Can Night will also return on Dec. 2. These special tickets go on sale Nov. 13 at 9 a.m., must be purchased in person at the box office and are first come, first served.

For nighttime performances (7 p.m.), proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test are required. Due to the age range of audience members, neither are required for matinee performances and concessions will not be sold. Masks, however, must be worn at every performance, day or night.

“A Charlie Brown Christmas” runs through Dec. 3-23. For showtimes and more information, or to purchase tickets online, visit The Rep’s website. You can also call (501) 378-0405 or visit the theater’s box office downtown at 601 Main St.
