Notes on growning herbs from Jennifer Gibson at The Good Earth:

“When planting herbs in a pot, use a potting soil like Miracle Gro Moisture Control, which has watering crystals to help regulate moisture. This helps you avoid both over and under-watering.  Trim herbs often to promote new foliage growth, but not too heavily or they can stress out.  Keep cut herbs longer by storing them in the refrigerator covered by a damp paper towel.”
