The Literacy Action of Central Arkansas is turning 30! It’s time to celebrate and you have the perfect opportunity to do just that this Friday at Shine a Light on Literacy.
With Rep. Warwick Sabin and Jessica DeLoach Sabin co-chairing the event, guests of the eighth annual event will enjoy food, libations, music, an auction and more as they learn more about the need for literacy programs in central Arkansas.
Founded in 1986, the Literacy Action of Central Arkansas provides free reading classes for adults and English language skills to non-native adults. The organization depends fully upon the generosity of volunteers and donors, and Shine a Light on Literacy helps fund its programs.
Shine a Light on Literacy will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, at Next Level Events in downtown Little Rock. Click here to get your tickets. If you’re interested in donating but unable to attend, click here.
