‘Shades of Greatness’ Exhibit Closes at Mosaic Templars Cultural Center

The Mosaic Templars Cultural Center “Shades of Greatness” exhibit marks its closing with a proper going away celebration this Thursday (Nov. 21) from 5:30p.m-7p.m. at the museum, 501 W. Ninth St., Little Rock.

“Shades of Greatness” is the first collaborative art exhibition inspired by the history of Negro Leagues Baseball. On loan from the Negro Leagues Baseball Musueum, the traveling exhibit features 34 original works by a host of national and regional artists, each of whom were given a detailed orientation to Negro Leagues history and challenged to produce works based upon their research and creativity.

The closing celebration will feature refreshments and guest speakers Bob Kendrick, President of the Negro Baseball Museum and William “Youngblood” McCrary, a former Negro Leagues player.

The event is free and open to the public. For additional information, click here or call (501) 683-3593.
