Seventh Annual Celebration of Lights at The Promenade Set for Saturday

Pictured above is the 2013 Celebration of Lights event.

Raise a glass of mulled cider and start another chorus of “Joy to the World,” because Christmas things are really, truly happening, people!

This Saturday (Nov.29), The Promenade at Chenal is hosting its seventh annual Celebration of Lights benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

It starts with free photos with Santa and the Mrs. from 1-4:30 p.m., along with the Make-A-Wish donation station and special offers available at the customer service offices. If you’ve never ridden the Promenade Express Train, jump on it. They’re giving free rides all day.

The charity-based performing arts program Plays for a Purpose will perform “The Gift of the Magi” at 1 and 4 p.m. with proceeds also going to Make-A-Wish.

And finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for: The tree lighting ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. And after that? The Promenade Light the Night Sale begins goes until 9 p.m. Trust us; you’re going to want to check out the specials at Belle & Blush, Indigo, Tipton Hurst and Gearhead Outfitters, to name a few.

Plus, a little reindeer may or may not have told us that there will be free hot cocoa, coffe and mulling spice afoot, so keep your eyes peeled.

For more information, check out The Promenade’s website, or follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.
