Prepare to be blinded by science in the best possible way.
Science After Dark, the monthly grownup meetup hosted by the Museum of Discovery, has been on hiatus since September. Now the MoD is kicking 2018 off in neon style with an “electromagnetic wave rave.”
On Thursday, Jan. 25, the first event of the year is set up to help guests glow after dark with lots of science-based activities to bring out the fun. Here’s some of what to expect:
- giant phosphorescent shadow art
- laser bounce
- glow arcade with glow pong and glow golf
- blindfolded musical chairs
- Makey Makey video games
- UV fluorescent spin art
- UV face painting
- glowing shooting gallery
- night vision goggles with the United States Air Force
As always, the event will include pizza, beer and cocktails for purchase from Damgoode Pies and Stone’s Throw Brewing. Guests must be 21 or older to attend.
Science After Dark lasts from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are available at the door or online here.
